Summary:Since the domestic policy of banning waste was announced......

Since the domestic policy of banning waste was announced one after another, the supply of imported waste materials has been greatly reduced. With this, most of the imported waste plastics enterprises have invested abroad rapidly after a short period of rest.

Especially in Southeast Asia. A large number of Chinese-funded enterprises have opened up Southeast Asia with funds, equipment and experience, which seems to abandon the environment and pursue interests. However, the prospects are not long. Recently, more and more countries have strict censorship and even ban the import of waste plastics.

Malay withdrew 114 import approvals for waste plastics due to earlier reports of serious pollution in Selangor Guarangat, which was mainly caused by factories dealing with plastic waste. The local government will suspend the import of waste plastics in view of the flooding of "foreign waste" treatment plants, and further study the import procedures and processes of waste plastics. Housing and local government departments have revoked the licenses (AP) of 114 companies and factories nationwide for importing waste plastics for a period of three months. During a three-month shutdown, the factory needs to re-apply for a permit.

_Malay government requires enterprises to report the status of factories, equipment, engineering and other details, the government will be on-site inspection, approval, if all qualified, the government will return the approval to enterprises. However, the Malay government has some control over the total import of waste plastics, which will be reduced by 20% to 40%.

Not long ago, when dealing with complaints about unauthorized burial of hazardous waste, the Thai political situation found that some factories illegally dealt with imported electronic waste, waste plastics and so on. At present, the government has cracked down severely on imported waste. It is known that more than 400 containers containing electronic waste, waste plastics and scrap metals have been piled up in two major ports in Thailand. Because importers and shipping companies fear that illegal operations will be punished by elasticity, they choose to abandon cabinets, thus increasing the difficulty of customs clearance.

In recent days, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has convened a special subcommittee to integrate imported electronic waste and waste plastics. At the meeting, the Prime Minister issued 432 blacklists of Thailand's ban on importing waste plastics and electronic products, and banned imports of waste plastics and electronic products in 2020.

After Vietnam temporarily stopped importing waste plastics, most Chinese-funded enterprises chose to invest in Vietnam. When more and more waste plastics, paper and metals were transported to Vietnam, they exceeded the throughput capacity of Vietnamese ports, resulting in severe port squeezing. However, driven by policy omissions and high profits, more and more illegal acts have appeared. In April this year, the Customs seized most of the goods that did not meet Vietnam's treatment standards and entered the country, and even used false import licenses, no approval, mislabeling practices abound. Therefore, the customs increased its inspection efforts.

_At present, enterprises engaged in waste plastics processing in Vietnam have been unable to operate normally after cutting off imported raw materials. At present, enterprises can only choose to purchase waste plastics locally and start work intermittently. Similarly, the lack of meat will inevitably lead to the rising cost of upstream wool. Foreign enterprises are not only facing policy risks, but also cost pressures suppress the enthusiasm of production.

_Recycling plastics industry foreign market investment is not smooth, often announced the tightening of recycling policy news, leading to foreign production enterprises to start work hindered, the corresponding supply reduction, exports to the domestic particle also reduced. Under the influence of multiple negative effects, the shortage of imported waste plastics has intensified. Facing the huge demand, the foothold will be domestic recycling.
